How to get there

Aschau is a small town which can be reached by train or car. Train rides to Aschau typically take some 90 min from Munich central station and 2 hrs from Munich airport. A map of Aschau can be found here.

Travelling by train

The cheapest way to get to Aschau by train is to buy a Bayern-Ticket which allows you to travel in all local trains and many buses for one day. It costs 19 Euros for a single person, and 27 Euros for up to 5 persons.

From Munich central station, take the train going to "Prien am Chiemsee" (in direction Salzburg). There's one train per hour (roughly) leaving Munich. Once you've arrived in Prien, switch to the next train ("Chiemgaubahn") to Aschau. From Aschau station, it's roughly 1 km to the hotel. You can take a taxi or the bus (line 9496) and leave at the stop "Schlosseinkehr/Kampenwand" which is close to the hotel.

From Munich airport, take the S8 train to Munich Ostbahnhof. Change here and take the train going to "Prien am Chiemsee" (in direction Salzburg). Once you've arrived in Prien, switch to the next train to Aschau. From Aschau station, it's roughly 1 km to the hotel. You can take a taxi or the bus (line 9496) and leave at the stop "Schlosseinkehr/Kampenwand" which is close to the hotel.
